Khaleda’s Apr 23 public meeting in Rajbari postponed
Dhaka, Apr 20 (UNB) - BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s public meeting on April 23 in Rajbari district has been postponed due to the evolving political situation after `forced disappearance’ of the party’s organizing secretary M Ilias Ali.
When contacted Rajbari district BNP president Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayyam told UNB over phone today (Friday) that the public meeting has been postponed due to the `forced disappearance’ of Ilias Ali as well as the vulnerable situation following police attack on the party leaders and workers on Thursday in the capital.
He said they had earlier taken massive preparations to hold the public meeting at Rajbari Railway Maidan.
