Sexagenarian woman killed in Joypurhat

Joypurhat, Apr 21 (UNB) – A sexagenarian woman was killed in a clash over a trifling matter at Saraswatipur village in Akkelpur upazila on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Diljan Bewa, wife of late Tamizuddin of the village.

Witnesses when a clash ensued among the villagers over collecting tube-well water Diljan went there to settle the dispute. At one stage, she was killed being hit by a stick.

On information, police recovered the body.

Later, police arrested two neighbors of Diljan- Raihan, 22 and Mojaffar Hossain, 26 from the spot.
