News - Budget likely to be placed on June 7: Muhith
Dhaka, Apr 22 (UNB) – The national budget for fiscal 2012-13 is likely to be placed in Parliament on June 7, Finance Minister AMA Muhith told reporters on Sunday.

Speaking in a pre-budget discussion with the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) at the conference room of his ministry at the Secretariat, Muhith said the budget would be passed in the House before June 30.

“June 30 falls on Friday. So, we’re planning to have the budget passed on June 28,” he said.

It is a tradition to pass the budget on June 30 although there is no hard and fast rule to do so.
