Jaipur, Apr 23 (UNB) - Fashion fraternity is gearing up once again to roll out red carpet for the first edition of Rajasthan Fashion Week (RFW).
The three-day fashion extravaganza will start in Jaipur on May 24 at a 7-star property, where as many as 30 national and international designers will participate, including designers like Shaahid Amir, Rohit Verma, Lina Tipnis, Poonam Patel, Shilpa Marigold, who will showcase their collections.
The event, touted to be a grand celebration of fashion, is aiming to serve as a podium for the upcoming fashion designers, apart from opening more business avenues for international buyers.
There is a strong buzz that international designer Julia Bruchwitz, who is known for her luxury women's wear collection, will also participate in the show. Makeup artist and hair stylist Bharat and Dorris will also be a part of the show, which will be choreographed by India's celebrated choreographer, Achla Sachdev.
"Being a part of the Rajasthan Fashion Week is important to me because of its ideal destination - Rajasthan. I truly appreciate the rich heritage, royalty, diverse and elitist fashion of the state, as well as the colours, block prints, vegetable dyes and fantastic ancestral jewellery," says designer Shaahid Amir.
Hoping that the week will turn out to be a great success, Sharad patel, one of the organisers says, "This shall be instrumental in promoting the best of fashion design talent from across the country, while also providing a perfect platform for the upcoming designers.
The event will bring together almost everybody linked to the fashion industry - from models, top designers to choreographers and makeup artists to the fashion connoisseurs. It will definitely be an enriching experience for all those involved with the fashion and glamour industry." He added, "RFW aims at celebrating fashion in India in a big way and opening newer roads in the business of fashion."
