News - Bus torched in city
Dhaka, Apr 24 (UNB) - Hartal supporters torched a passenger bus in the city’s Agargaon area this (Tuesday) morning as the countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal enforced by BNP for the third day on the trot is in progress.

Fire Brigade sources said the bus plying Mirpur route was set ablaze by a group of hartal supporters in front of Women’s Technical Institute at about 10 am.

However, no casualty was reported.

On information, a fire-fighting unit from nearby fire station rushed to the spot.

BNP enforced the shutdown demanding return of its disappeared organising secretary M Ilias Ali and his driver Ansar Ali who went missing on April 17 night.
