
Dhaka, Apr 25 (UNB)- A training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) made an emergency landing in Murshidabad of the Indian State of West Bengal due to stormy weather this (Wednesday) evening.
An intelligence official told UNB that Flight Cadet Rashed of Bangladesh Air Force Academy (BAFA) made a phone call to his authorities and confirmed that he had safe landing in Murshidabad.
Cadet Rashed took off from Bir Shestra Matiur Rahman Air Base in Jessore with his PT-6 training aircraft. But soon he was caught by the storm and made the emergency landing on a paddy field.
The official said Bangladesh authorities are in contact with the Indian authorities to allow Rashed to fly back to Bangladesh as soon as possible.
