Barisal, Apr 26 (UNB) – Two policemen have been suspended on charge of irregularity and breaching discipline by participating in immoral activities in the city.

The departmental action came on Thursday against Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) constables Mehdi Hassan and Md Mehedi as charges against them were proved during primary investigation.

BMP Reserve Force Officer Abu Zafar said they were suspended for participating in obscene dance at a jatra, a drama staged at the city`s Ulan Batna early Thursday without obtaining prior permission from the BMP.

More disciplinary actions will follow if allegations against them are proved in further investigation, said Sayed Taufiq Uddin Ahmed, BMP Commissioner.
