Fisherman killed in tiger attack

Khulna, Apr 26 (UNB) – A fisherman was killed in an attack by a tiger at No. 37 Compartment under Bajbaja Forest Patrol Outpost in Sundarbans on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Sohel Molla, 19, son of Abul Molla of Jorshing village of Koira upazila.

Family sources said Sohel along with other fishermen went to catch fish in Chhera River in Koira upazila.

Suddenly, a tiger swooped on him and dragged him inside  deep forest at 11am.

Later, other fishermen recovered his body from the deep forest.

Kashiabad station officer Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the incident.
