Dhaka, Apr 26 (UNB) – Twenty-three police officers, ranking from Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) have been promoted or given new posting in the latest shuffle in police administration.

A Home Ministry notification on Thursday said: AIGP of Police Headquarters (HQs) Sheikh Hemayet Hossain has been given new posting as AIGP of APBn, DIG of Police HQs Mainur Rahman Chowdhury promoted to AIGP (Current Charge) and given new posting to Police HQs, Additional DIG of CID Md Shamsuddin promoted to DIG (Current Charge) and given new posting as Police Commissioner (Current Charge) of BMP, Additional DIG of Police Staff College Abu Musa Md Fakhrul Islam promoted to DIG (Current Charge) and given new posting as Director (Current Charge) of Central Police Hospital, Commissioner of CMP Abul Kahsem made DIG with new posting at Police HQs and was replaced by Additional Commissioner of CMP Md Shafiqul Islam (Current Charge), Commandant of Bangladesh Police Academy, Sardah, Aminul Islam, transferred to SB as DIG, Additional DIG of CID Rawshon Ara Begum promoted to DIG (Current Charge) at the CID, Additional DIG of Chittagong Range Bishwas Afzal Hossain promoted to DIG (Current Charge) and posted to Security and Protection Battalion, Dhaka, Commissioner of BMP Sayed Toufiq Uddin Ahmed made DIG of Police HQs, SS of CID Abdullah Hil Baki made Additional Commissioner of SMP, SS of SB Shahdat Hossain posted as Additional DIG of CID, SS of SB Mosharraf Hossain promoted to ADIG (Current Charge) and given new posting at CID, Police Super of Natore Rafiqul Islam made ADIG (Current Charge) and with new posting at Special Security and Protection Battalion, Commandant of PTC, Tangail, Jasim Uddin made Director of RAB, Jamalpur Police Super now attached to the Police HQs Mahfuzul Islam made ADIG (Current Charge) with new posting as Commandant of Tangail PTC, Commandant of the 10th APBn Abul Kalam Azad promoted to ADIG (Current Charge) and posted to Khulna Range, DC of RMP Sarder Nurul Amin made Commandant of RRF, Chittagong, DC of KMP Mostafa Kamal posted as Commandant of the 1st APBn, Dhaka, SP of Police HQs (TR) Monirul Islam made AIGP, DC of KMP Haider Ali Khan posted to Special Security and Protection Battalion, Additional DC of CMP Sujayet Islam made DC of SMP and Additional Police Super (Telecom) Abul Kalam Azad posted as Commandant of RRF, Rangpur.
