Benapole, (Jessore), Apr 29 (UNB) – A man was crushed under the wheels of a train at Mathurapur rail crossing in Jessore Sadar upazila on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hye, 32, (Baul singer) of Bolpur village in the upazila.

Witnesses said Abdul Hye was critically injured as an Iswardi-bound train hit his motorbike while he was crossing rail track on his way to Jessore town at night.

Locals rescued and rushed him to Jessore Medical College Hospital where the attending doctor declared him dead.
