News - 3 Bangladeshis abducted by Indians
Comilla, Apr 29 (UNB) – Indian nationals abducted three Bangladeshis from Matiatali village along Chouddagram border here on Sunday following the arrest of an Indian smuggler.

The victims are identified as Kalam, Dildar and Ahsan of the village in Chouddagram upazila.

Witnesses said a patrol team of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested Manik, a drug peddler of Rangamura area in West Tripura, along with three kgs of hemp while he was smuggling those into Bangladesh from India in the morning.

As the news of his arrest spread, villagers of Rangamura attacked the bordering Matiatali village and picked up the three Bangladeshis.

The villagers said they will return the Bangladeshis if the BGB members release Manik.

However, they handed them over to BSF later.
