Madaripur, Apr 30 (UNB) – A man was killed in an attack by rivals over past enmity at Bolsha village of Sadar upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abu Taher Bepari, 32, son of Abdul Haque Bepari of the village.
Locals said rivals attacked Abu Taher with sharp weapons when he was returning home from work on Sunday night.
Severely injured, Abu Taher was taken to Madaripur Hospital and then shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.
Family sources said Abu Taher had a dispute with some local influential people centering the managing committee of Bolsha Primary School.
A case was filed in sadar thana in this connection.
