News - 25 BNP men arrested from CMM court premises
Dhaka, May 1 (UNB)-Police arrested 25 BNP leaders and activists from the premises of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court here Tuesday when BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was produced before the court in the afternoon.

Joint general secretary of Chhatra Dal Titumir college unit Sahadat Hossain Titu, Swechhasebok Dal leader Md Masud amd Md Shahadat Hossain were among the arrestees.

A number of BNP leaders and activists thronged the court premises today as police produced BNP's Joint Secretary General Rizvi before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in the afternoon seeking a 15-day remand for him in connection with two cases filed for hurling bombs at the Secretariat and for torching vehicle near the Prime Minister’s Office.

BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir strongly protested the arrest of the BNP men. He demanded immediate release of the arrested leaders and activists of his party.
