3 drug peddlers held with liquor in Manikganj

Manikganj, May 2 (UNB) - Police in a drive arrested three alleged drug peddlers along with three litres of liquor from Sadar bus terminal area on Monday.

The arrestees were identified as Raju Mia, 25, son of M Ajgor Ali, and Roky, 22, son of Lalu Manik, of Gohata village in Ghior upazila and Sony Kumar, 21, son of Krishna Kumar hailed from Ashulia in Dhaka.

A team of police led by SI Shah Alam, on a tip-off, conducted the raid in the area beside the Dhaka-Aricha highway and after a hot chase arrested them along with the wine at about 12:45 pm.

A case was filed against them under Narcotics Control Act.
