News - Road accidents kill 2 in Jessore
Benapole (Jessore), May 3 (UNB) - Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Jessore Sadar and Jhikorgachha upazilas on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Touhid, 15, son of Ibadat Hossain of Bhatpara village in Sadar upazila and Shamimur Rahman, 26, son of Abdur Rahman of Kamarpara village in Jhikorgachha upazila.

Police said Touhid while carrying paddy from a nearby field in a human hauler sustained critical injuries when the vehicle suddenly turned turtle at about 8am.

Locals rescued and rushed him to Jessore Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor announced him dead.

Meanwhile, Shamimur, driver of a shallow engine driven vehicle, died on the spot when his vehicle overturned near his house while going for work at around 7:30am.

The body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
