Pabna, May 03 (UNB) – An ultra party leader was hacked to death by unidentified assailants at Chaprar Bil in Chatmohor upazila sometimes between Wednesday night and early Thursday.

The dead is Abu Hanif, 40, regional leader of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (ML Lal Pataka faction) and son of late Sekender Ali of Hadal village of Faridpur upazila.

Police said he kidnapped from his residence by a gang of criminals on Wednesday night and chopped to death at Chaprar Bil in Chatmohor.

Being informed police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital for autopsy on Thursday afternoon.
