News - 2 bodies of Kishoreganj boat capsize victims recovered
Kishoreganj, May 4 (UNB) – The bodies of two people, including a woman, drowned as a boat sank in the Nagchini River near Chamraghat in Karimganj upazila on Friday, were recovered.

The deceased were identified as Jobeda Khatun, 45, of Murikandi village and Abdul Kuddus, 44, of Bhatia Morolpara village in the upazila.

Police and locals said the boat with 20-25 passengers on board capsized near Chamraghat area at about 8 am due to strong current.

All other passengers except the two managed to swim ashore.

The two bodies were recovered in the afternoon after launching a search operation in the area.
