Pirojpur, May 4 (UNB) - Two school students were killed in a lightning strike at Amragasia village in Mathbaria upazila on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Nayon Khan, a class X student of Satleza Model High School and son of Sultan Khan, and Sweety, a class VII student of the same school and daughter of Narendra Nath of Amragasi village.

Locals said a thunderbolt struck them  at about 8:30am when they together went to collect vegetables from a nearby field  during rain, leaving them dead on the spot.
