2 children drown in Rajbari

Rajbari, May 5 (UNB) - Two children drowned in a pond at Railway New Colony at Binodpur village in local pourashava on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Pranta, 4, son of Sabuj, and Sabana, 5, daughter of Alam of the area.

Local fire service station officer Rajkumar Saha said the children were standing on a bank of the pond. Suddenly, the bank collapsed and they fell into the pond at noon.

Later, a diver from Faridpur Fire Service after frantic search recovered the bodies.
