Faridpur, May 6 (UNB) – Two people were killed and 25 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Barisal highway at Hamirdi in Bhanga upazila on Sunday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police said a Barisal bound bus of Hanif Paribahan coming from Dhaka met the accident as one of front wheels deflated, leaving two people, including its driver, killed on the spot and injuring others at 1pm.

Of the injured, seven were admitted to Faridpur Medical college Hospital while others to a hospital in Bhanga.
