One killed in Jhenidah road crash

Jhenidah, May 6 (UNB) – The driver of a human-hauler was killed and one of his passengers injured when the vehicle overturned at Tetultala Bazar on Dhaka-Khulna highway on the outskirts of the district town today (Sunday).

The deceased was identified as Abdul Khaleque, 30, son of Sarwar Hossain of Kutubpur village in Chuadanga district.

Local sources said the human-hauler, locally known as Alamshadhu, turned turtle on the road in the morning, killing Khaleque on the spot and injuring Taizel Hossain.

The injured was admitted to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital.
