19 people arrested for illegally entering country

Benapole (Jessore), May 7 (UNB) – Border Guard Bangladesh arrested 19 people, including children and women, from Sadipur border here while entering into the country illegally from India Monday morning.

BGB-26 check post camp commander Abdullah said acting on secret information that some people were entering into the country, they conducted a drive early in the morning and arrested them.

The arrested include five women and six children. They hailed from Barisal and Pirojpur districts.

Later, they were handed over to Benapole port thana.

A case was filed in this connection.
