Dhaka, May 7 (UNB) – A two-day regional energy conference, organised by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) and South Asia Forum for Infrastructure Regulation (SAFIR), begins here on Wednesday.

The ‘Cross Border Energy Trade’ will be the main focus of the conference to be held at Sonargaon Hotel.

The participants in the conference will discuss issues to address local and regional energy crises.

Forty-five representatives from the South and South East Asian nations, including Vietnam and Malaysia, will join the conference.

BERC chairman Syed Yusuf Hossain at a press briefing at the BERC office informed reporters about different aspects of the conference.
