Manikganj clash leaves 14 injured

Manikganj, May 08 (UNB) - A clash between two groups over land left 14 people, including a woman, injured at Jagir Dighulia in sadar upazila on Monday afternoon.

Police and locals said there was a conflict between Situ Mollah and his brother Asalat Mollah over a piece of land.

Situ along with his supporters attempted to grab the land and Asalat obstructed. A clash ensued, leaving 14 injured on both sides.

Situ Mollah, Harun, Ronny, Riyon, Mostafa, Monir, Golap and Rabeya were admitted to Manikganj Sadar Hospital in critical condition.

Of them Mostafa was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital following deterioration.

The rest received treatment at a local hospital.
