Wazed Miah's 3rd death anniversary Wednesday
Dhaka, May 8 (UNB) – The third death anniversary of Dr. MA Wazed Miah, eminent nuclear scientist and husband of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will be observed tomorrow (Wednesday).
He passed away on this day in 2009 at Square Hospital in the city after prolonged illnesses, said a press release.
Dhaka city unit of Awami League (AL) chalked out a daylong programme to mark the day.
The programme include recitation from the Holy Quran and Milad Mahfil after Johr prayer at AL central office.
Dhaka City unit AL general secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya called upon the activists of the party and others to attend the programme.
Recitation from the Holy Quran and Milad Mahfil after Asr prayer will also be held at Sudha Sadan residence of late Wazed Miah at Dhanmondi.
Family members, relatives and well-wishers were requested to attend the programme.
