Youth killed in city
Dhaka, May 8 (UNB) - A youth was beaten and stabbed to death at Goran in the city on Tuesday night.
The victim was identified as Shahidul Islam Sabuj, 16, a class VIII student of Ali Ahmed High School of Goran and son of Abdul Karim of Fatehpur in Nabinagar upazila of Bhahmanbaria district.
Police and locals said Sabuj was severely beaten and stabbed repeatedly by another youth and his associates, numbering 20-25, around 8pm, leaving him seriously injured.
Sabuj was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead at about 9:45 pm.
The body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
