Schoolgirl found dead in Chuadanga

Chuadanga, May 9 (UNB) - A schoolgirl was found dead at her house at Sarajganj village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Sumaiya Islam Nabila, 15, class IX student of Sademan Nesa Secondary School and daughter of Zahurul Islam, a businessman of the village.
Police said finding no response from Sumaiya in the morning, family members went to a window of her room from where they found her body lying on the floor.
On information, Assistant Police Super (circle) of Chuadanga Nazmul Haq recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police suspected that the miscreants might have called her beside the window and strangulated her to death with her own scarf.
Meanwhile, police arrested two people Shariful Islam, her private tutor, and Tajul Islam, in connection with the incident.
Victim’s family alleged that her private tutor had been harassing her for the last few days.
