Premier Tennis begins at Gulshan Youth Club

Dhaka, May 10 (UNB) - The Gulshan Youth Club Northern Hatcheries Premier Tennis Tournament-2012 began here today (Thursday) at the Gulshan Youth Club ground.

CEO of Dhaka City Corporation M Nazrul Islam inaugurated the nine-day meet. Secretary to Energy and Mineral Resources Division M Mesbahuddin and president of the host Gulshan Youth Club Rafes Alam Chowdhury were also present on the occasion.

Gulshan Youth Club was playing against Uttara Club in the opening match till filing this report.

Friday’s matches: Gulshan Youth Club (Green) vs Narayanganj Club (4 pm),
Officers Club vs Chittagong Customs Club (6 pm) and Dhaka Club vs Uttara Club (8 pm).

A total of eight teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the nine-day meet on robin league basis matches.

Participating teams are: Group A - Gulshan Youth Club (Blue), Uttara Club, Engineers Recreation Centre and Dhaka Club Limited.

Group B: Gulshan Youth Club (Green), Customs Club, Chittagong, Officers Club and Narayangonj Club.
