Muhith condoles death of Sylhet AL leader Shamim

Dhaka, May 11 (UNB) - Finance Minister AMA Muhith expressed his profound shock at the death of Sylhet Awami League vice-president Iftekhar Hossain Shamim, who died in a road accident on Friday.

In a condolence message, Muhith prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and also conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.

The Finance Minister flew to Sylhet today to attend the namaj-e-janaza of the AL leader.

Seven people, including AL leader Shamim, were killed and 30 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Kasikapon in Balaganj upazila of Sylhet in the morning.
