PM shocked at deaths of journalist, photojournalist in city road crashes

Dhaka, May 11 (UNB) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed her deep shock at the deaths of a senior reporter of daily Independent Bibhash Chandra Saha and a photojournalist of Dainik Motobad Shahiduzzaman Titu in separate road accidents the city today (Friday).

In separate messages today, the Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed her sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Bibhash Chandra Saha, aged about 45, a senior staff reporter of the Independent, was crushed under the wheel of a bus in Dhanmondi Road No 2 at about 5:30 pm.

Earlier, Shahiduzzaman Titu, 38, a photojournalist of Barisal-based Dainik Motobad, was killed in a road accident near Ruposhi Bangla Hotel at city’s Shahbag at about 1:30 pm.
