UK woman arrested after 5 children die in blaze
LONDON, MAY 11 (AP/UNB) - A British woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after five children died in a house fire.
Police in the central England city of Derby said a sixth child, aged 13 years old, was hospitalized following the early morning blaze Friday.
Steve Cotterill, the assistant chief constable of Derbyshire, said the woman was in her 20s. The children's ages ranged from 5 to 10 years old. Two adults in the house escaped injury.
Cotterill says the cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials have not named the suspect.
