9 held for stealing cloth in Gazipur

Gazipur, May 11 (UNB) – Police arrested nine workers of a factory on charge of stealing cloth from the factory located in Palli Biduyit area in Kaliakoir upazila Thursday night.

The arrestees are Ashrafuzzaman, 35 Anisur Rahman, 40, Hasibur Rahman, 32, Islam Uddin, 38, Ismael Hossain, 55, Habibur Rahman, 35, Golam Howlader, 62, Lavlu Mia, 35 and Islam, 45.

Police said the arrestees stole cloths worth Tk 6 lakh from Interstaf Factory. Assistant managing director Abdur Rouf filed a case with Kaliakoir thana.

Later, police conducted a drive in the area and arrested them. They were sent to Gazipur jail.
