BFF names chairman of 9 sub-committees in first meeting;

Dhaka, May 12 (UNB) - Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) finalised the names of chairman for eight sub-committees in the very first meeting of the newly elected executive committee held today (Saturday) at the BFF House with its president Kazi M Salahuddin in the chair.

The meeting also decided that the re-election to fill up the three vacant posts of EC members from among the four candidates will be held on June 16.

Four members -- Anwarul Huq Helal, Toufiqul Islam Tofa, Arif Hossain Moon and Ajmal Ahmed Tapan -- will contest for the three posts, as they got same 56 votes each in the BFF elections held on April 30.

Chairman of the eight sub-committees:

Finance Committee - Abdus Salam Murshedy;
Bangladesh Premier League Committee - Abdus Salam Murshedy;
National Team Management Committee - Kazi Nabil Ahmed;
Development Committee - Badal Roy;
Competition Committee - Tabith M Awal;
Dhaka Metropolis League Committee - Sheikh Md. Maruf Hasan;
Club Cup Championship Committee - Arif Khan Joy;
Grounds Committee - Fazlur Rahman Babul;
Women’s Football Committee - Sirajul Islam Bachchu

Besides, BFF member Shamsul Huq Chowdhury will be the team leader of the National U-22 team that will participate in the AFC U-22 Qualifiers in Nepal from June 2 while Iqbal Hossain has been named as manager and Syed Golam Jilani as coach.

Mohammad Mohsin will lead the national U-14 team which will participate in the AFC U-14 Football Festival in Nepal. Kazi Altaful Huq and Nurul Huq Manik will accompany the team as manager and coach respectively.

The meeting also decided that Bangladesh football team will participate in Asian Beach Soccer. The 3rd Asian Beach Games will be held in Shandong’s Haiyang, known as the `Oriental Hawaii’, from June 16-22 in 2012. Abdul Qayyum Sentu will be the head coach of the team.
