Ansar, BJMC reach final of Women’s National Volleyball

Dhaka, May 12 (UNB) - Bangladesh Ansar and BJMC reached the final of the Walton 21st Women’s National Volleyball Championships eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at Dhaka Volleyball Stadium today (Saturday).

Earlier, Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Air Force moved into the final of the Walton 26th Men’s National Volleyball Championship.

Both the men’s and women’s finals will be held tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan will be the chief guest in Sunday’s final and will distribute the prizes.

Advisor (Program) of ATN Bangla Noajesh Ali Khan and senior deputy director of RB Group (Walton) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar will be the special guests on the occasion.

In the day’s women’s semifinals, Bangladesh Ansar defeated Pabna DSA by 25-10, 25-7, 25-13 points while BJMC beat Rajbari DSA by 25-19, 25-9, 25-16 points to book seat for the final.

Pabna DSA will face Rajbari DSA in the Women’s 3rd place deciding match Sunday morning.

In the men’s 3rd place deciding match today (Saturday), Bangladesh Navy finished 3rd beating Bangladesh Police by 3-2 sets at the same venue.
