Officers Club beats Customs Club 2-1 in Premier Tennis

Dhaka, May 12 (UNB) - Officers Club earned 2-1 victory over Customs Club in a Group A match of the Gulshan Youth Club Northern Hatcheries Premier Tennis Tournament-2012 today (Saturday) at Gulshan Youth Club court.

AAM Moasir and Sarwar pair of Officers Club beat Zahidul Islam and Altaf Hossain partners of Customs Club by 7-5, 6-2 game in the first doubles while Mohammad Abdullah and Aliur Reza of Officers Club defeated Nasiruddin and Sheikh M Aslam of Customs Club by 6-3, 6-2 game in the 2nd doubles to assure them of the victory.

However in the 3rd doubles, Elias Faizullah and Kajol pair of Customs Club earned a consolation victory beating Atiqul and Anwar partners of Officers Club by 6-0, 6-1 game to settle for overall 2-1 victory.

A total of eight teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the nine-day meet on robin league basis matches.

Participating teams are: Group A - Gulshan Youth Club (Blue), Uttara Club, Engineers Recreation Centre and Dhaka Club Limited.

Group B: Gulshan Youth Club (Green), Customs Club, Chittagong, Officers Club and Narayangonj Club.
