4 Jamaat leaders arrested in Pabna

Pabna, May 13 (UNB) - Police arrested four local leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami while they were holding a clandestine meeting at Joynagar village in Bera upazila on Saturday night.

The arrestees are district social welfare secretary of Jamaat Abul Kashem Azad, Jamaat secretary of Bera upazila unit Ataur Rahman, Koitala union unit Jamaat president Shawkat Hossain Faruki and secretary Mosharraf Hossain.

Bera thana police said they conducted a drive at the house of Mosharraf Hossain at night and arrested them for holding the secrete meeting at night.
