Bam Morcha for fixing paddy price at Tk 800 per maund
Dhaka, May 13 (UNB) – Ganotantrik Bam Morcha, a left leaning organization, on Sunday demanded fixing the price of paddy at Tk 800 per maund.
They also called upon the government to buy paddy from the farmers during the food procurement drive.
The Morcha leaders made the demand addressing a rally in front of the National Press Club in the afternoon.
Chaired by Bazlur Rashid Firoz, convenor of Morcha and BSD central committee member, the rally was addressed, among others, by Saiful Haque, Abdus Sattar, Jonaed Saki and Nazrul Islam.
