Nasir represents Bangladesh in Asia X1

Dhaka, May 13 (UNB) – National all-rounder Nasir Hossain represented Bangladesh in the Asian-Canada X1 in an exhibition T20 match against International X1 played at the Rogers Centre in Toronto in Canada on Friday last.

Asia X1 beat International X1 by three wickets in the match.

Batting first, International X1 scored 164 for 6 in 20 overs with opener DS Smith making 69 and BRM Taylor 34 runs.

R Cheema grabbed two wickets for 31 runs.

In reply, Asia X1 reached the target making 167 for 7 in 19 overs with Nasir Hossain contributing 20-ball 21 runs featuring three fours.

Sanath Jayasuriya scored the team highest 41 off 24 balls with seven fours and one six, H Patel made 32-ball 39 runs hitting four fours and R Cheema scored 14-ball 20 runs for Asia X1 apart from Nasir Hossain’s 21 runs.

TL Best grabbed four wickets for 36 runs while JDP Oram took three wickets for 40 runs.
