2 siblings drown in Muradnagar

Comilla, May 13 (UNB) – Two minor siblings drowned in a pond at Dilalpur village in Muradnagar upazila on Sunday.

The dead are: Suraiya Begum, 8 years, daughter of Jasim Uddin of the village and her brother Abu Zafar, 5 years.

Locals said they were bathing in a pond near their house in the afternoon.

At one stage they slipped deeper into the pond and drowned.

Locals and family members rescued them and rushed them to Muradnagar Hospital where duty doctor declared them dead.
