Cop among 2 killed in road accidents in 2 dists
Dhaka, May 14 (UNB) – A police sub-inspector (SI) was among two people killed in road accidents in Natore town and Benapole of Jessore on Monday.
In Natore: Sub-Inspector Salehin Joardar was going to Gazipur district from Sarda Police Academy of Rajshahi by a motorcycle in the afternoon.
A bicycle came in his way and collided with his motorbike and the sub-inspector fell on the road at PTI More in the town. Locals rushed severely injured Salehin to Natore Sadar Hospital where he died after admission.
UNB Benapole Correspondent Adds: A speedy truck ran over Montu Mia, 23, when he was crossing road leaving him dead on the spot in front of Benapole Municipality Office under Port Thana in the afternoon.
He was the son of Tara Mia of Kagmari village of Benapole union of Sharsha upazila of Jessore district.
