Honey collector killed in tiger attack in Sundarbans

Bagerhat, May 15 (UNB) - A honey collector was killed in an attack by a tiger in Koikhali Forest Station of the Sundarbans here on Monday.

The victim is Shahar Ali Molla, 57, son of late Jumman Molla of Ramjan Nagar village of Shaymnagar upazila of Satkhira district.

Local sources said when Shahar Ali went to the area for collecting honey in the morning the man eater tiger suddenly attacked and dragged him into deep forest.

Later, forest guards recovered the body with bruises all over.

Earlier, Hazer Ali and Azibar Dafadar of the forest area were killed by tigers on Sunday and Saturday.
