3 killed in crashes in Thakurgaon, Rajbari & Savar

Dhaka, May 15 (UNB) - At least three people, including a minor, were killed in road crashes in Rajbari and Thakurgaon districts and Savar upazila of Dhaka on Tuesday.

In Rajbari: Bappi Mollik, 7, was crushed under the wheels of a speedy microbus at Dangahati Mahok village on Jamalpur-Nimtola road in Baliakandi upazila in the afternoon.

He was Class I student of Sadhukhali Primary School and son of Alok Mollik of neighbouring Madhabpur village.

In Thakurgaon: Bicyclist Dipu, 19, was knocked down by a bus and instantly killed at Salandar Chowdhury Hat, 5 kilometers north of Thakurgaon town, on Thakurgaon-Panchagarh at 9:30 pm.

He was the son of Jamini Kumar of Kachubari village of sadar upazila.

In Savar: An unidentified youth was hit and instantly killed by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw near Genda Bus Stand on Dhaka-Aricha highway in the town at 8 am.

Police recovered the body, aged about 28, and sent it to hospital for autopsy.
