Shallow engine mechanic hacked to death

Bogra, May 15 (UNB) - A man was hacked to death allegedly by his rivals over land at Barangashani village at Paikar in Kahalu upazila on Tuesday.

The dead is Abdul Mannan, 38, a shallow engine mechanic and son of Kiamuddin of the village.

Family sources and locals said identified miscreants who had a long-standing enmity with him over a piece of land, chopped him with sharp weapons and left the body beside a road sometimes between early Tuesday and early in the morning.

Being informed police recovered the body in the morning and sent it to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed.
