News - 3 RMG workers killed, 20 injured in Savar bus plunge
Savar, May 16 (UNB) - At least three garment workers were killed and 20 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch near Ashulia Bazar here this (Wednesday) morning.

Police and witnesses said the bus carrying 40-50 workers of Cosmopolitan Garment Limited (CIPL) skidded off the road and fell into the ditch at about 7:30 am as its driver lost control over the steering, killing three on the spot and injuring 20 others critically.

The accident occurred when the garment workers were going to their factory situated at Khejurbagan of Ashulia from Mirpur in the capital.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and rushed the injured to different hospitals.

Two of the injured were whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Police, workers of Roads and Highways department and local people were conducting a rescue operation as of 10:15 am.
