Mohammedan SC earns 10-wicket victory over Rising Girls

Dhaka, May 16 (UNB) - Dhaka Mohammedan SC earned a comfortable 10-wicket victory over Rising Girls Cricket Academy in the 4th Women’s Club Cricket League at BKSP ground in Savar today (Wednesday).

Winning the toss, Rising Girls opened the innings first and were bundled out cheaply for 30 runs in 27.4 overs with Susmita making the double figure only scoring 18 runs.

Salma did the major damage to Rising Girls innings grabbing five wickets for just six runs in eight overs.

Chasing a small target, Mohammedan SC easily scored the match-winning 31 runs without any loss in just 4.5 overs.

Salma, who earlier grabbed five wickets, also scored the team highest not out 16, was adjudged the player of the match while another opener Shaila Sharmin scored not out 12.

In the day’s other match, Cricket Coaching School (CCS) beat Kalabagan KC by three runs in a hard-fought match, also at BKSP ground in Savar.

Batting first, CCS scored 114 runs for 6 in 40 overs with Farzana Akhter making 35 and Rima Akhter not out 10 runs.

Subrina and Ferdoushi took three wickets each conceding 15 and 17 runs respectively.

In reply, Kalabagan KC were forced to fold their innings at 111 runs for 5 in 40 overs with Subrina making not out 34 runs.

Rima Akhter and Ishma Tanjim claimed two wickets each giving away 17 and 19 runs respectively.
