Robbers loot gold ornaments, valuables from 2 houses in Jessore

Benapole (Jessore), May 17 (UNB) - Robbers looted gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from two houses at Pachaier village in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore early Thursday.

Police and locals said a gang of 10-12 armed robbers entered the houses of Rahmat Mollah and his brother Afsar Mollah at about 1:00am and took the inmates hostage at gun point.

Later, they looted 16 tolas of gold ornaments, Tk 20,000 in cash and other valuables from the two houses. The bandits decamped with the booty safely.

Keshabpur thana OC Mir Rezaul Hossain Reza confirmed the incident.
