2 arrested with lethal weapons in Sherpur

Sherpur, May 17 (UNB) – Police arrested two young men along with six lethal weapons from a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Dhonakusha on Nokla-Nalitabari road in Nalitabari upazila on Wednesday night.

The arrestees were identified as Russell Mia, 24, and Mallik Hossain, 22, residents of the upazila.

Police said they searched the Nalitabari bound three-wheeler coming from Nokla upazila in the area at about 11pm and arrested them along with the six sharp ‘ram daos’.

A case was filed in this connection.
