Habiganj, May 18 (UNB) – An official of Grameen Bank was killed in a road accident at Bhangapool on the outskirts of the town on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Farooq Mia, assistant manager of Grameen Bank Kishoreganj district branch and son of Bazlur Rahman of Katkhal village in Mithamoin upazila of Kishoreganj district.

Witnesses said a tractor collided head-on with a Habiganj bound CNG driven auto-rickshaw from Shayestaganj leaving the passenger of the three-wheeler Farooq Mia critically injured at the area in the morning.

The injured was rushed to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
