News - PCJSS leader shot dead in Khagrachhari

Khagrachhari, May 19 (UNB)-A leader of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) was shot dead and two people were injured by an armed group at Juggachhari in Laxmichhari upazila early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Anil Chakma,46, PCJSS Laxmichhari unit president.

Police said a gang of armed terrorists stormed into the house of Anil and opened fire at about 3:30 am, leaving Anil dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

PCJSS blamed United People's Democratic Front (UPDF), an anti-peace treaty outfit, for the killing.
