
Dhaka, May 19 (UNB) - Finance Minister AMA Muhith leaves here for Bangkok on Sunday to attend the 68th meeting of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
During his stay in Bangkok, the Finance Minister will attend a Ministerial Roundtable on ‘Growing Together: Economic Integration for an Inclusive and Sustainable Asia-Pacific Century’ on Monday.
He will also attend a launch to be hosted by ESCAP executive secretary on the same day where he would brief on Bangladesh’s good achievement on MDGs.
On Tuesday, Muhith is likely to hold bilateral talks with the head of delegation of Japan and Parliamentary Vice-minister for Foreign Affairs Joe Nakano.
He will participate in a high-level panel on ‘Steering inclusive development through global turbulence and volatility’ and deliver the country statement on the policy issues for the Asia-Pacific region.
The Finance Minister is likely to return home on Wednesday.
